Utopia Haze is a Brazilian sativa, and this feminised line is how Barney's Farm kept it.

The breeders started from original Brazilian sativa seed and ran a three-year selection, crossing their keepers with unrelated genetics and holding on to two phenotypes. The goal was to keep the landrace's soaring character while getting a plant that shrugs off mould and finishes inside a workable window.

Expect lemon and pink grapefruit over cracked pepper, with a cool mint that growers often mention first. On the exhale some cuts turn sweet, with notes the breeder lists as nectar, vanilla and blackberry.

The breeder describes a lasting, cerebral lift, and growers back that up: clear, energetic and creative, a daytime smoke rather than a nightcap. The rarer indica-leaning plants are calmer and can tip into sleepy.

Breeder figures put it at about 90% sativa, topping out around 130 cm, with up to 650 g/m² indoors and roughly 500 g per plant outdoors, harvested from mid to late October. Flowering runs 70 to 80 days. Growers praise its resistance to mould and disease, and report that the sativa phenotypes stretch, spread wide and carry heavy tops that can fill a tent fast.
