Chocolope was built to bring back a Chocolate Thai flavour that DNA says went missing after the 1980s.
DNA Genetics first called it D-Line. Their original Chocolate Thai female went to a Cannalope Haze male, and the cross was then backcrossed to shorten flowering while keeping the Thai character intact. It remains one of the lines the company is known for.
Earth, roasted coffee and dark chocolate lead the nose, and growers report hash and a woody edge in the smoke.
The breeder's description is an energising, clear-headed sativa high that lifts mood and suits creative daytime work, and growers report a bright start that eases into a calmer, long finish. Medical users mention it for daytime fatigue and a flagging appetite.
This is a 95 per cent sativa and it grows like one, tall and hungry for headroom, though the breeder calls it an easy plant that takes training well. DNA quotes 8 to 9 weeks of flower and 500 to 600 g/m² indoors, with up to about 900 g a plant outside, and the colas finish big and dense.
