The T.H. Seeds crew nicknamed it stupid bud after their first smoke in Amsterdam, because nobody could hold on to their keys.
M.O.B, the Mother of Berries, is an East Coast legend with a backstory to match. As co-founder Doug tells it, a bag of California weed with a few seeds in it reached Boston in the 1990s, and the plant that grew from them passed hand to hand through the city's skateboarding scene. A cutting found its way to Amsterdam, where it finished fast on a rooftop, and selection and feminising followed in Spain.
The name is earned: forest berries and blueberry, sugar sweet and fruity, with a candied edge some compare to bubblegum.
This is pure indica and the breeder calls it strong medicine. Users report deep relaxation that drifts towards sleep, and medical users mention it for sleep, stress and appetite.
Short, fat and quick sums it up. Plants stay at 60 to 110 cm, stack their nodes tightly, stretch only moderately and finish in 7 to 8 weeks, with a breeder figure of 450 to 550 g per square metre. Hard, fat buds show good mould resistance, and most plants blush pink to purple late in flower. One grower has reported stray male flowers, so watch the last weeks closely.
