LA Sage by T.H. Seeds

T.H. Seeds chose a female from its regular S.A.G.E. line and crossed her with a Skunk Sam male. The breeder calls the result a true hybrid, roughly 60% sativa, with the Haze-and-Afghani lift of the mother given extra Skunk density underneath.

Sweet pine and fresh sage lead the nose, the herb the line is named for, with citrus peel behind. On the exhale growers pick up a warm, peppery spice that lingers after the pine fades.

Users describe a happy, upbeat head with an easy calm in the body that stops short of sedation, which makes it a daytime or early-evening choice. It is reported as a favourite for stress, and some users mention it for headaches and period cramps.

This is a mid-sized plant, 100 to 150 cm, that finishes in 8 to 9 weeks indoors or out, with the breeder quoting 450 to 550 g per square metre. The flowers pack in densely and are buried under resin by the last fortnight. Growers flag powdery mildew in still, humid rooms, so airflow matters, and a screen of green spreads its sativa-leaning branches well.

LA Sage comes from T.H. Seeds, which began in Amsterdam in 1993 as the C.I.A., short for Cannabis In Amsterdam, an information centre.
