CBD Warlock by Serious Seeds

Canadian patients asked for a gentler Warlock, and this limited edition is the answer Serious Seeds gave them.

Warlock, the Skunk and Afghan indica that came into the Serious catalogue with Magus Genetics, was a firm favourite at the Vancouver Island Compassion Society, whose members wanted its flavour with less of its weight. Serious crossed it with the high-CBD Cannatonic, with House of the Great Gardener in Canada, and lab-tested 24 samples. The breeder figures average about 8% THC to 4% CBD, nine plants landed on a 2:1 ratio, and the best reached 16.86% THC with 15.58% CBD.

The Warlock sweetness survives: fruity and sugary, which one grower likened to spearmint chewing gum, while others find a plainer, earthy finish.

Expect a calm, unhurried body feel with a much softer head than classic Warlock, the whole point of the breeding. Users describe it as relaxing and stress-reducing, and it is reported as a favourite of medical users for evening calm and everyday aches.

Mostly indica, it flowers in about nine weeks indoors for 350 to 500 g/m² by the breeder's figures, and outdoor plants finish in late October. Growers report resinous, foxtailing colas. Only 15 of 24 samples cleared the breeder's 4% CBD bar for its medical line, so the ratio varies by plant and it stays a limited release.

Serious Seeds has bred in Amsterdam since breeder Simon founded it in 1995, keeping a deliberately small catalogue of lines that breed true.
