Bananapples by Old School Genetics

Apples & Bananas already carried banana in its name; Old School decided it needed more.

The mother is the Compound Genetics breeders' cut of Apples & Bananas, the cultivar that did much to build Compound's name. Oldman Green paired her with the reversed Banana Ripple #17 that fathers his whole Banoffee Pie series, aiming to keep the loud orchard fruit and lay a thick banana note across it.

The breeder describes an exotic, fruity nose with unmistakable banana terpenes, and a sweet smoke that turns creamy with a slight acidic bite from the Banana Ripple side, close to sour apple folded into banana custard.

Old School has not published effect notes for Bananapples. The Apples & Bananas parent is described by its breeder as euphoric and uplifting with a balanced feel suited to daytime, and with a 60/40 sativa lean that is a fair guide to what collectors can expect.

Resin is the headline in the garden: the breeder rates its trichome output highly enough to recommend it for extraction. It stretches around four times after the flip, finishes in 55 to 60 days indoors for 500 to 600 g/m², and outdoors is ready in October with around 600 g a plant.

Old School Genetics is a Barcelona collective led by Oldman Green, who has kept traditional lines alive since the late 1990s; its Peach Slush has taken several ICMAG titles, and its catalogue runs to collaborations with Karma Genetics and GG Strains such as OS Glue.
