Two Skunks, one Swiss and one Dutch, crossed in 1999 by a breeder chasing a single goal: fatter buds without losing the funk.
Ultra Skunk came out of Dutch Passion's Skunk project, which trialled the strongest Skunk lines from both countries and hybridised the pick of them. It lands at roughly 60 per cent sativa and 40 per cent indica, with a hint of indica in the build. The breeder has since retired it, so this pack closes a chapter of the house's Skunk years.
The taste is sweet and fruity over classic skunk, with a thread of cedar, and one grower compared it to strawberries.
Dutch Passion describes the classic Skunk effect: an upbeat, gentle high that keeps going. Users report a relaxing feel that works by day or night, a good appetite and a slow build in tolerance.
This is a compact indoor plant at 60 to 80 cm, with good resistance to mould and spider mites. Flowering takes 8 to 9 weeks, and the buds finish stocky, oily and heavy with crystals, though a few leaves grow through them. The breeder selected for consistent, heavy harvests, and one grower describes a dominant main cola with around six side branches.
