Candied lemon peel, the sticky sugared kind from a baker's tin, sits at the front of this one, with sour gas right behind it.

EZ Genetics took Lemon Tree, the California clone-only cut from Lemon Skunk and Sour Diesel, and crossed it to Zookz, its own father line built from TK41 (Triangle Kush crossed with reversed Gelato 41) and an in-house Zkittlez backcross. The goal, in the breeder's words, was a classic lemon with a sweeter, frostier edge. Both parent sides are stated to have tested clean of hop latent viroid.

The breeder describes candied lemon rind as the core of the profile, pungent fuel from the Sour Diesel and Zookz sides, and a Zkittlez candy note on the finish. Phenotypes split those three elements in different ratios, which gives a hunter something to sort through.

The effect is strong but leans functional rather than sedative, according to the breeder, so this is a hybrid that can work in the afternoon as easily as late at night.

Growth is manageable, with a stretch of about one and a half times, and the plants look the part as they finish: Zookz lays a thick coat of frost over the flowers. The breeder lists 56 to 63 days of flower and a medium to heavy yield, indoors or out.

EZ Genetics, also trading as EZ Seed Bank, develops its Zkittlez and OG material over several generations rather than in one-off crosses, and Zookz is one of its two core lines.
