Kuro by EZ Genetics

Named with the Japanese word for black, Kuro is the darkest, gassiest corner of the EZ Genetics catalogue.

The mother is NYZ Black Scotti, which the breeder credits with a Biscotti backbone and a short, squat frame. The father is Oishii NYZ, the line behind most EZ releases: Archive's Oishii crossed with EZ's own NYZ, itself a Zkittlez clone bred to a Karma Genetics Sour D Bx2 male. Both parent sides are stated by the breeder to have tested clean of hop latent viroid.

Forget the candy that most Zkittlez work trades on. The breeder describes heavy, pungent fuel that stains the mouth, with a character it compares to Headband and Biscotti, and the flavour follows the nose almost exactly.

Expect weight. The breeder calls the effect a strong, deep hybrid stone that sits between the two poles, neither pinning you to the sofa nor pushing you out of the door, and aims it at smokers who want potency first.

In the garden it grows stocky and Bubba-like, stretching only one to one and a half times after the flip, which makes it a natural fit for tents and rooms with low ceilings. The breeder lists 56 to 63 days of flower and a medium yield, a fair trade for that density of gas.

Bred by EZ Genetics, also known as EZ Seed Bank, whose Oishii NYZ and Zookz lines sit behind releases such as Omakaze, Momo and Black Opz.
