La Lybella by Dutch Passion

Ninety per cent sativa, yet listed to finish outdoors by mid-October: that is the quiet promise of La Lybella.

Dutch Passion has never published the parents, describing it simply as a welcome addition to its range, and it no longer appears in the breeder's current catalogue. That makes it one of the more obscure names in the Dutch Passion back list, and a pack worth holding for anyone collecting the house's sativa work.

The breeder's description gives it a spicy aroma, the peppery side of sativa rather than the sugary fruit of modern dessert strains.

The effect is described as clear and energising, and the breeder itself suggests leaving it alone before bedtime. Think morning projects and daytime company rather than a night on the sofa.

In the garden it grows with an open structure and sets many well-formed buds, with resin building from around the fourth week of flowering. Indoors, the breeder lists about 74 days of flower and a medium yield, and says the best harvests come from keeping the vegetative stage to two weeks or less. Outdoors it is described as resistant to mould, with harvest in the second week of October, which is early for a plant this sativa-heavy.
