When Freddy, one of the original breeders at Dutch Passion, retired, he left one last cross behind, and the company put his name on it.

Announced in 2011 and released in 2012, Freddy's Best is a three-way sativa built from Chocolope, Dutch Haze and an unnamed sativa from the breeder's thirty-year-old genebank. The breeder credits Freddy with Mazar and Passion #1, and says he set four targets for this one: taste, looks, high and yield. Dutch Passion has since discontinued it, so a sealed pack is now a true end-of-line piece.

The Chocolope side shows in the jar. The breeder describes rich, resinous earth with cocoa, a fruity sweetness and a fresh, spicy finish, and one grower likened the smell to bacon and spice.

The breeder calls the high strong, clear and long-lasting, and says it takes a few minutes to arrive before it keeps building. User reports add a calmer, relaxing side, with some noting a numbing ease on aches.

Expect height. Freddy's Best is a tall, mostly sativa plant, and growers report a big stretch that topping only adds to. The breeder lists about ten weeks of flowering, an indoor and greenhouse habit, and good harvests of round, hard, dense buds, rating the yield large and the potency very high.
