Tundra took Passion #1, the outdoor champion of the Dutch Passion range, and gave it a clock of its own.
The breeder paired Passion #1 with an autoflowering mix of Russian Ruderalis, Canadian Ruderalis and Indica, breeding for the virtues outdoor growers care about: pest resistance, strong and early flowering, a soft smoke and good taste. It was upgraded to Tundra #2 in 2013, and that version has since been discontinued too, which makes the original a piece of the breeder's early autoflower work.
Growers describe a sweet lemon scent, and the breeder adds spice and grapefruit to the taste. On the later #2, the sticky resin was said to smell strongly of orange juice, so the citrus thread clearly runs through the family.
Dutch Passion called the effect a mild up high. Users report an exhilarating start that settles into a calm, meditative mood, which places it in the late afternoon rather than the small hours.
Plants stay small and bushy with an indica habit, reaching bud about two to two and a half months from seed, and the breeder quotes 8 to 11 weeks of flowering. Outdoor yields were given as 25 to 30 g per plant, and growers rate the crop well for a plant this size. It grows indoors or out, and the later version was pitched squarely at cool outdoor climates.
