Getting real Haze character out of a plant that finishes in under three months was the brief, and PolarLight #2 was one of Dutch Passion's early answers.
The breeder crossed its Dutch Haze, a line with Colombian sativa roots, with an autoflowering Ruderalis and Indica base. In 2013 the series moved on to PolarLight #3, and that version has since left the catalogue as well, so a sealed pack of #2 is a genuine piece of autoflower history.
Dutch Passion described a spicy Haze aroma over a sweet, fruity, citrus taste, the kind of old school profile that newer autos often trade away.
The high was billed as powerful, clear and long lasting, a sativa lift for daytime rather than a body stone. The breeder also pointed it at medical growers, noting a high CBD content alongside average THC.
Plants grow for around two and a half weeks before switching to flower on their own, then bloom for 8 to 9 weeks. The breeder gave heights of 30 to 85 cm outdoors and up to a metre indoors in hydro, with 30 to 50 g per plant, and rated it easy to grow, with good resistance to mould, spider mites and disease. For a Haze, that combination of speed and hardiness was the selling point.
