Three generations in, Karma's ZiZi project has stopped being an experiment and started behaving like a line.
It began with The Original Z, the grape and grapefruit Zkittlez cut that took first place at the Emerald Cup, crossed with Ztini, a Z and Lemon Tini hybrid. The Dutch breeder then pushed it forward by selection and line breeding, and V3.0 is the result: ZiZi V2.0 crossed with itself to make a third-generation incross. The V2.0 plants had already earned their place as parents in Karma's newer fruit crosses, Zirop among them.
The breeder frames the profile as sweet, candy-led and fruit-forward, with layered confectionery notes in the modern Z style. This is the boiled-sweet end of the spectrum rather than the gas end.
Karma has not published an effect profile for this version. The Zkittlez family it rests on is reported by users as mainly calming, with a relaxed body, a happy, settled head and a keen appetite, which is why it so often ends up as a late-day smoke.
The breeder rates the yield as medium to high, and the line suits indoor or outdoor gardens. No flowering window has been published for V3.0 yet. What a third-generation incross gives a collector is a clearer picture of the family than a first cross can, and twelve regular seeds mean males worth keeping for anyone breeding with Z genetics.
