Zapplez made its name in London around 2021; version 2.0 is the breeder going back in to make it frostier and harder hitting.

The original came from Blue Zushi crossed with Sour Apple Runtz, and it was the creamy sour apple terps that won people over. For 2.0, Conscious Genetics brought in pheno 4 of Rainbow Beltz 1.0, a Zkittlez-heavy line, with three stated aims: better bud structure, more resin and more power.

The result is a Zkittlez-led nose of sweet candied fruit, sharpened by sour green apple and resting on a creamy, kushy base with a hint of cookie dough from the Blue Zushi side. The breeder describes it as decadent, and the cream is what lingers.

Growers describe the original Zapplez as opening with a euphoric, heady rush that settles after half an hour or so into a relaxed, heavy body. The breeder bred 2.0 for more of that strength, so most will save it for the evening.

Flowering is eight to nine weeks indoors, with an October finish outdoors where the climate allows, though growers say the Zapplez line is happier under lights than in a damp British summer. The breeder rates yield medium to high. The real selling point is resin: thick, sticky frost over dense, Californian-style buds.
