Zaffron by Grounded Genetics

Two of Grounded Genetics' own lines, each worked for years, meet here for the first time, and the breeder spells the result Zaffron, with two fs.

The mother is Zerberry. It started as Zunami, the original Z crossed with a Gelato 41 x Sherb BX1 male, from which the breeder picked a plant with real bag appeal and a balanced nose, then dusted it with reversed RS11. The father is reversed Peach Guava, selected across generations from Pink Limez, Taco Colada and Key Lime Guava for resin, wash yield and an exotic fruit smell. In all, around five years of selection sit behind it.

The breeder describes loud exotic fruit, with sweet candy, tropical guava and a creamy, confectionery finish.

No effect profile has been published yet, and this is too new for grower reports. It is aimed at people who want the terpenes and the resin first, for flower or for hash.

Grounded Genetics stresses bag appeal and resin output rather than garden figures, and has not yet published a flowering time, yield or height for this cross. What the parents bring is clear enough: Zerberry was bred for vigour, structure and colour, and Peach Guava for heavy gland heads.

Grounded Genetics comes from Ramone, whose fifteen years and more in legacy breeding and licensed production show in its fruit-led catalogue.
