Tropz pairs one of the American South's flashiest fruit strains with a Dutch sour that has been winning cups since 2010.
Tropicana Cherry comes from Relentless Genetics, a Tropicana Cookies by Cherry Cookies F3 cross that made its name in recent years for loud terpenes, deep purple colour and heavy resin. HortiLab used her as the mother and dusted her with pollen from Sour Power, its own Starbud by ECSD V3 male.
Tropicana Cherry is described with ripe cherry on the inhale, juicy pear and a bright, lime-like snap, and Sour Power adds diesel and sharp lemon. Expect fruit-forward plants with a fuel undertone, and the odd phenotype that leans fully to the gas.
Both parents lean to the head. Users describe Tropicana Cherry as energising, focused and cheerful, and Sour Power as uplifting and talkative, which points to a daytime hybrid for creative work or good company; the sativa side can feel racy for sensitive users.
The breeder lists an 8 to 10 week flowering window, a medium to high yield and indoor or outdoor suitability, and the breeder's description singles out the mother's intense colour and resin. Tropicana Cherry buds tend to be tight and heavily streaked with purple, so look for that among the twelve regular seeds, and keep notes on every plant: regular packs like this are where keepers and future crosses come from.
