Red Red Wine by Perfect Tree

By harvest the buds are a purple so deep they read as black, and the water runs wine-red when they go through the hash bags.

Perfect Tree took a selected Rozay F2 cut from Relentless Genetics, itself a Sherbert x Purple Bomb line, and crossed it with its Jet A reversal from the Exotic Genetix family. The breeder says Jet A's fuel pulls Rozay's candy and fruit into something closer to a red from southern France or Italy.

Grape skin, dark berries and a floral sweetness sit over a petrol base. Growers note the wine character builds late in flower, so the finished jar smells quite different from week five.

Reports describe a heady, dreamy relaxation that softens the body and keeps conversation flowing, much like a good glass of red. It is an evening strain, social rather than sleepy.

The breeder calls it easy and fast, with medium height indoors and taller plants outside. Flowering takes 7 to 8 weeks indoors, and outdoor plants are usually finished by the end of September. Buds stack calyx on calyx with very little leaf, so trimming goes quickly, and yields are rated high. Solventless makers rate it for its returns, its terps and that wine-red wash water.
