Power Dunk by Hortilab

A basketball name for a basketball cross: Power Dunk takes Gary Payton, the cut named after the Hall of Fame guard, and feeds it Hortilab's own Sour Power pollen.

Gary Payton came out of Powerzzzup, the Cookies collaboration led by Kenny Powers, from The Y and Snowman, and has become a new school standard for its Y-Life terpenes and strong yields. Sour Power is the Dutch house's StarBud, an old school classic of unknown roots, crossed with its ECSD v3 Sour Diesel male, and it has stood on podiums at both the High Times Cannabis Cup and the IC Mag 420 Growers Cup.

The Gary Payton side brings gas and cookie dough, with users noting apricot, pepper and lavender, while Sour Power adds a sour, acidic diesel twang.

The breeder has not described the effects of the cross. Gary Payton is reported as giggly, relaxed and euphoric, and Sour Power as uplifting and clear, so expect a sociable, even hybrid, with grow reports still to come.

Power Dunk is new since 2025 and offered only as regular seeds, 12 to a pack, which gives room to hunt for a keeper and to find a male worth holding on to. Hortilab lists 8 to 10 weeks of flowering and a medium to high yield, indoors or out.

Hortilab is a Dutch breeder known for turning elite European and American clones into seed lines, with Sour Power as its modern classic.
