Power 54 by Hortilab

Guava and passion fruit from an Oakland dessert cut, cut through with the acid snap of a Dutch cup winner: Power 54 is a new Hortilab cross that puts both on the same plant.

The mother is Studio 54, Sunset Sherbert crossed with Pink Guava, an OZ Kush F2 from Deep East Oakland Farms. Hortilab chose her over her better known sister RS11 for more fruit and funk. The pollen came from Sour Power, the breeder's own StarBud and ECSD Sour Diesel cross, which has placed at both the High Times Cannabis Cup and the IC Mag 420 Growers Cup.

On the Studio 54 side the breeder notes tropical guava, passion fruit and a creamy finish, while Sour Power is known for a sharp, acidic diesel nose.

Hortilab has not published an effect profile for the cross. Studio 54 is usually reported as focused and creative, and Sour Power as bright, uplifting and heady, so this looks set to be a daytime hybrid, though the first grow reports will settle it.

This is a regular release, new since 2025, and a hunt worth running through 12 seeds. The breeder lists 8 to 10 weeks of flowering and a medium to high yield for indoor or outdoor rooms, and Sour Power's reputation for heavy production in a tuned room is part of what it brings.

Hortilab is the Dutch breeder behind Sour Power and Sour Amnesia, both placed at the High Times Cannabis Cup.
