Night Vision by Ziplock Seeds

Fuel, red wine and a tart citrus edge over something close to pudding: Night Vision reads like a tasting note before it reads like a seed pack.

Shanoah of Ziplock Seeds made it from two of his own in-house hybrids. The mother, Fog Lights, is a Zoap x Gas Face cross that leans roughly 70% indica. The father is Black Panther, the line the whole Ziplock catalogue now turns on: Cookies' Cheetah Piss crossed to Sinful, a Jealousy S1 selection from Watermelon Mimosa x Jealousy. Black Panther has a run of grower-contest wins behind it, and Shanoah has been releasing its crosses a dozen or so at a time.

The breeder's description calls the profile rich and layered: gas up front, then a winey, dessert-like sweetness and a sharp citrus finish.

Ziplock has not yet published an effects description for Night Vision, and grower reports are still thin for a release this new. On paper the indica-leaning mother points to a heavier, later-in-the-day hybrid, but that is a reading of the pedigree rather than a report.

In the garden the breeder singles out its vigour, which is what you hope for from a fresh F1. Plants stay medium-sized and load up with trichomes, turning purple and grey as they ripen. Expect it to finish in 8 to 9 weeks with a medium yield, indoors or out.

Ziplock Seeds is the one-man project of Shanoah in Southern Oregon, named after the Ziploc bags he once handed seeds out in.
