Strawberry cookie on one side of the family, black liquorice on the other: Mondo Smash pairs two of Night Owl's most resinous autoflower lines in a single limited release.
The mother is a Cookie Smasher F1, picked for her strawberry cookie character, thick trichome cover, sturdy branching and serious bag appeal. Cookie Smasher draws on Crinkled Cookies and Bruce Banner #3, with OG Kush and Strawberry Diesel further back. The father came from Creme de la Compton F3, chosen because his plants grew big, branchy and dense, and carried an unusual scent of black liquorice.
In the jar the breeder describes chem and ripe strawberry folded into orange cookie dough, with that liquorice note running underneath.
Night Owl calls it a heavy hitter, the sort of smoke that suits a relaxed evening with friends rather than anything that needs a sharp mind. Expect it to settle you in more than send you out.
Growers can look for vigorous plants that build heavy colas, with resin output the breeder rates highly enough for extraction as well as flower. The breeder puts the cycle at 75 to 85 days from sprout, indoors or out, with an average harvest of 2 to 4 ounces a plant. A 65/35 sativa to indica split is listed by the breeder, so allow for some reach in the branches.
