Lemon sharpness, melon sweetness and a breeder yield figure worth noting: up to 500 to 550 grams per square metre indoors.
The Plug started with Lemonade, also known as Lemon Tree, a cut it rates for its distinctive flavour and aroma, and crossed it with its own Watermelon Z. The Watermelon Z was brought in to firm up the buds and add frost, and the breeder describes the result as a balanced hybrid.
Citrus and ripe fruit lead the profile, according to the breeder, with a powerful smell in the room and again in the jar.
The breeder describes a strong, relaxing effect, better suited to winding down than to a busy afternoon. It is also reported to stir the appetite, a trait some medical users look for in an evening strain.
Melonaid grows with real vigour through veg and into early flower. Internodes are long and most of the weight gathers on the main cola, so expect one dominant central cola rather than a bushy spread. Flowering runs 8 to 10 weeks indoors, and it is listed for indoor and outdoor growing.
