Named after the cocktail and bred to smell like one, Pina Colada sets a candy Gushers and OG mother against a gassy Papaya Dawg father.
The Plug Seedbank started with Gushers x OG, which brings Gelato #41 and Triangle Kush together with classic OG Kush, then crossed it to Papaya Dawg, a hybrid of Papaya and Chemdog. The thinking is simple: tropical fruit on top, with enough Chem and OG underneath to keep it from turning syrupy.
The breeder's description reads like a bar menu. Pineapple and ripe mango come first, then a creamy middle of coconut, vanilla and citrus with a floral kush edge, and finally an earthy, diesel-tinged base.
Expect a bright, happy start that softens into calm, centred euphoria and loose shoulders, according to the breeder. The body side arrives slowly and keeps building, so this suits late afternoon onwards far better than a busy morning.
It flowers in eight to nine weeks, grows indoors or outdoors, and the breeder rates the yield medium to high. Height and structure figures have not been published, and with Gelato, OG, Chemdog and Papaya all in the family tree, collectors popping a pack should expect some spread between fruit-led and fuel-led plants.
