Sharp lemon peel on top, purple creeping through the calyxes underneath: this is a Dutch citrus line meeting a Californian dessert cut.

Pheno Finder built it from two pieces of its own history. The mother side is Lemon Bubble, the team's pick of a Super Lemon Haze plant crossed to a Silver Bubble male. The father is Sunset Sherbert, the Girl Scout Cookies by Pink Panties cut behind a whole wave of dessert strains, reversed so that it could make pollen and every seed in the pack comes out feminised.

The breeder sums the result up as dense flowers with a strong citrus smell. Lemon Bubble brings bright lemon with a hazy, silvery edge, and Sherbert is known for creamy, sweet berry tones, so expect sherbet in the most literal sense.

Pheno Finder has not published effect notes for this cross. Its parents pull in two directions, the clear, lively head of a lemon haze and the calm, contented body feel Sherbert is loved for, which makes it a late afternoon or early evening pick for most.

In the garden it grows bushy and to a medium height, and the breeder lists 9 to 10 weeks of flower indoors or out, with medium to high yields. Buds finish tight and heavy, and the purple hues the breeder points to tend to show late in bloom, which gives the jar real colour.
