Oni built Hot Tropic on a Fire OG cut the breeder calls one of the oldest and most prized in the collection, then crossed it with a Cookie-leaning Tropicanna Cookies F1 male. The aim was as practical as it was about flavour: keep the potency and nose of the Fire while making the plant easier to grow and pulling back its extreme stretch. Tropicanna Cookies is the house signature, first bred by Harry Palms from Girl Scout Cookies and Tangie.

Fire OG brings its lemon-polish scent, and the breeder puts that front and centre in this cross, with the orange-tinged Tropicanna line behind it.

Oni describes the flowers as super potent, knockout strength in its own words, so this belongs at the end of the day. Beyond that verdict, detailed user reports have not been published yet.

Oni is candid about the plant: it can be finicky, it still stretches, it feeds very lightly and it dislikes being overwatered. Flowering takes 68 to 70 days, and the breeder advises letting it run the full 70 for the best finish. Yield is modest, low to medium by the breeder's own description, which is the trade for dense and very strong flowers. Fifteen regular seeds give a collector real room to hunt for a keeper.

Oni Seed Co. was founded by Harry Palms and Oni Noodles, who put quality ahead of quantity, and the house is still best known for Tropicanna Cookies.
