Grape Deebo by Night Owl Seeds

The breeder picked the mother for funky, greasy resin that smelt of grape, and then predicted this cross would become a classic.

Grape Deebo pairs Sour Stomper F4, from Mephisto's GrapeStomper OG and Sour Diesel family, with Creme de la Compton F3, a line the breeder describes as large, branchy and heavy in the cola. The result, in the breeder's words, is a first-generation hybrid with real hybrid vigour, and plants that can grow to monstrous size for an auto.

Expect sweet grape up front, a squeeze of lime and a gassy finish, the Sour Diesel ancestry showing through the fruit.

The breeder has not published an effect profile, and grower reports are still thin on the ground, so the high is one for early growers to describe. With Sour Diesel and OG Kush in the family tree, collectors will know the kind of company it keeps.

Give it room: this is a big, branching plant that leans sativa at about 70 per cent. Buds stack along heavy colas, finish thick with frost and often fade to purple late in the run. The breeder gives 75 to 85 days from sprout and 2 to 4 oz on average.

Night Owl Seeds came out of Mephisto Genetics in 2014, when Daz launched it as a side project, and its catalogue is full of crosses you will not see elsewhere.
