Gelato #33 was born from Sunset Sherbert, so crossing the two folds the family back on itself and pushes everything creamy and sugared to the front.
That is the logic behind Dankalato, one of the four releases Dank Genetics names as its flagships. The breeder took the celebrated #33 cut and paired it with the Sunset Sherbert clone that sits in its own ancestry, chasing a deeper, more concentrated version of the dessert profile both are known for.
Open a jar and the breeder's note reads like a pudding menu: ice cream strewn with sweets, a thread of berry, then a faintly scorched, fuel-like edge that stops it turning cloying. Other descriptions pick out orange peel and red fruit.
Reports describe a strongly psychoactive hybrid, with a hazy, euphoric head over a body that settles and loosens. Most will save it for later in the day.
Growers find a vigorous, well-branched, indica-leaning plant that takes training kindly and suits most systems. The flowers come in large, dense and thick with resin, which suits anyone who presses or extracts, and the breeder promises some striking colours as it ripens. Allow around 70 days of bloom for a medium to high harvest, indoors or outdoors.
