Dank Gelato by Dank Genetics

The original Gelato was Sherbet meeting Cookies, and Dank Genetics has rebuilt that idea from its own stock.

Here the Sherbet comes from Dank Sherbert, the breeder's Sunset Sherbert S1, and the Cookies from a cut called Cup Cookies. It reads as a tribute to the famous Bay Area strain rather than a copy, and the breeder sells it on two things: highly potent buds and yields above the average.

Expect fruit and Kush in equal parts, with the Sherbert's creamy citrus and red berry sitting over a darker, earthier Kush depth.

Dank Genetics calls the effect potent in the extreme, so this one is best left to experienced users. As an indica-dominant cross from Sherbert stock, it leans towards deep relaxation and belongs to the evening.

Growth is vigorous on a sturdy, stocky frame, and the plants suit both indoor rooms and outdoor gardens. Flowering takes 8 to 10 weeks, with about 63 days given as a typical finish, and the breeder rates yields as above average. Late in flower the Sherbert side can bring purple leaf colour, orange pistils and a dense frosting of trichomes, so it looks the part in the jar as well.

Dank Genetics was set up in the UK around ten years ago by a circle of connoisseurs with strong links to breeders in the United States.
