Chuntz is among the newest releases from The Original Big Buddha Family Farms. The team took Runtz, the clone-only American favourite it admires for flavour, effect and how it grows, and crossed it with a reversal of its own Original Cheese. Old-school UK genetics meeting new-school US candy is rare enough to make this a talking point in any Cheese collection.
The breeder's flavour notes run sweet, gassy and creamy, like ice cream with a fuel edge, and underneath sits a deep gas and a ripe, fruity cheese tone from the Original Cheese side.
The breeder keeps its effect notes brief, describing a powerful hit felt through both body and mind. It is a newer release, so grower reports are still building, which suits a collector who likes to hold a line early.
Plants stay compact at roughly 70 cm to 1.10 m, which suits indoor setups and most training styles. Flowering runs 9 to 11 weeks, with a decent to good yield of dense, chunky buds. Leave them longer and the colours deepen and the terpenes grow more complex, according to the breeder, so the finish is part of the show.
