Two different cuts of the Z, one leaning watermelon and one leaning orange, folded into a single cross by a breeding group that sorts its fathers by smell.
Masonrie spent years building its stud males around five aroma families, and orange is one of them. Black Rainbow sets Watermelon Zkittlez, itself bred from Watermelon Zum Zum and the Original Z, against Orange Zkittlez, which carries Agent Orange in its background. Doubling the Zkittlez line keeps the candy core intact while the two outer parents push in different fruit directions.
The breeder sums it up as watermelon, orange and tropical fruit, and that is the order most noses will find it in: juicy melon rind first, then sweet citrus, then something closer to mango and passion fruit underneath.
Masonrie has not published an effect profile. The Zkittlez family it comes from is known among users for a calm, happy and sociable high with an easy body feel, which makes this a likely late afternoon or evening smoke, and medical users often mention that family for stress and winding down.
It is a hybrid for indoor rooms, greenhouses and terraces, flowering in 8 to 9 weeks with a medium to high yield. Outdoors it is best kept to warm southern climates, where the flowers can finish before autumn damp sets in. Being regular, the pack also gives you males to work with.
