Papaya, torn basil and a hint of garlic: this smells more like the back bar of a cocktail lounge than a grow room, and the name nods to the gin drink.
The Plug Seedbank started with Biscotti x Runtz, the same pairing behind its Bruntz, and crossed it to Taco Colada. Each parent has a job. Biscotti brings creamy, nutty depth, Runtz adds candy sweetness, and Taco Colada lays gassy tropical papaya and a spicy kick over the top.
The breeder's tasting notes come in layers. Up top sit bright papaya, fresh basil, herbal zest and a fizz of candy. The middle turns to creamy biscuit dough, vanilla and spiced caramel, cut with savoury garlic and skunk, before an earthy, peppery finish.
It opens with an energetic head rush, uplifting and creative, then levels into calm focus with a loose, relaxed body. The breeder says the finish is a slow, heavy body calm that stops short of sedation, which makes it a fit for late afternoon into evening.
Flowering runs 8 to 9 weeks indoors or out, and the breeder rates the yield as high. Few grower reports exist yet for this newer release, so early growers will be writing the first notes on its structure and finish.
