Ripe apricot, fresh figs and a slice of warm fruit pie with cream: a Paradise sativa dressed for California.
Apricot Candy belongs to the Paradise California Collection. The breeder took Dutch Dragon, its own sativa with South African and Dutch roots, and crossed it with Thin Mint GSC, the Cookies phenotype prized for blue hues and a rich terpene load. The brief was a classic big-yield sativa with more resin and full Californian flavour, and Paradise describes the result as stable and uniform.
The breeder lists apricot, fig, apple and baked pastry on the nose, with vanilla smoothing out the smoke. Caryophyllene leads the terpene profile and gives all that sweetness a peppery, Cookies-style funk.
Paradise describes a fast rush of energy, a clear sativa high for around half an hour, then an easy slide into something more relaxed. The breeder also flags it as strong for newcomers, and it is usually pitched as a daytime smoke.
Expect a proper sativa stretch: plants can double or triple after the flip, so indoor growers tend to train or net them, while outdoors in a Mediterranean climate they grow into small trees. Flowering takes about 65 days indoors, and breeder figures put yield at around 550 g/m² inside and up to 1,000 g per plant outdoors, harvested in October. Chunky, dense buds frost early and can colour purple, navy and red as they ripen.
