Two Amsterdam coffeeshop classics went into this cross, and the first thing that greets you is a smell like homemade jam.
DNA Genetics took White Widow, the frosted Dutch icon of the 1990s, and crossed it with Chocolope, the sativa that put their name on the map. The result is a sativa-dominant hybrid that carries Chocolope's sweet, chocolate-edged character into a far frostier plant. The breeder puts THC at around 23%, which by its own account is higher than the original Chocolope.
Fruit preserves and cocoa come first, then the Widow's wood, damp earth and a thread of pine. On the exhale it turns tropical, with a light finish the breeder likens to green tea.
The breeder describes an energetic start, with focus, motivation and a creative, euphoric lift that eases into body comfort without heavy sedation. It is an afternoon strain, and users report reaching for it for stress, tension headaches and a flagging appetite.
Plants are vigorous and bushy on strong branches, and respond well to low-stress training, SCROG and sea of green set-ups. Indoors they reach roughly 80 to 150 cm and flower in 8 to 9 weeks, with the breeder quoting 350 to 400 g/m². Outdoors in a warm, temperate climate they can pass 2 m and finish in October, the flowers whitened with the kind of resin concentrate makers look for.
