Sunday Gravy by Ultra Genetics

Like the Italian American dish it is named after, this one has been simmering a long time, with half a dozen famous strains in the pot.

The mother is Shiva Dynamite, the Ultra Genetics blend of Skunk, Hindu Kush and Grapefruit that also sits behind its Shiva the Destroyer male. Her partner is Sunday Walk, a house male that stacks a cup-winning Super Silver Haze clone with Ice Cream Cake and the breeder's own Terpatron 3000. Old-school skunk and kush on one side, modern dessert genetics on the other.

The breeder calls it a skunk and kush hybrid with classic haze running through it. Expect that sharp, old-fashioned haze perfume laid over skunky ground, softened by a creamy note from the Ice Cream Cake.

Ultra Genetics says the high brings together indica, sativa and haze character in one smoke. On paper that means a bright haze lift at the start that settles into a heavier body, which makes it more of a late afternoon and evening strain than a morning one.

Plants run around 70 per cent indica and flower in nine to ten weeks, indoors or out. The breeder reports large yields of very sticky, good-looking buds. With this many parents in the recipe, a ten pack of regular seeds is a proper hunt, and the reward is finding the cut that carries both the haze and the cream.

Ultra Genetics is British-born, makes its seed outside the UK and works to keep landrace seed in circulation alongside its own crosses.

Collector's notice: this pack is sold as a sealed souvenir and novelty item for adults aged 18 and over. Seeds are not to be germinated where doing so is against the law.
