Stracciatella by T.H. Seeds

Named for the Italian gelato, and it smells the part: vanilla cream flecked with chocolate.

T.H. Seeds crossed an authentic Do-Si-Dos clone from California with a Strawbanana Cream male from its own programme, then picked a single phenotype for vigour, dessert flavour, resin and a balance of lift and calm. The family tree runs back through OGKB, Face Off OG, Strawberry Banana and White OG, so there is more pedigree behind it than the playful name suggests.

Smooth vanilla cream leads, with a light dusting of chocolate and a note like malted milk powder underneath.

The breeder lists euphoric, happy and relaxed, pairing a cheerful head with a strong physical calm. Growers describe it as euphoric rather than heavy, so it works as well in the afternoon as late at night.

At 70 percent sativa it stays stocky in veg, then stretches about two and a half times and branches hard, so the breeder recommends low stress training and a screen for an even canopy. The medium, very dense buds come in with colour, heavy frost and a high calyx to leaf ratio that keeps trimming easy. Flowering takes 9 weeks, yield runs 450 to 550 g/m², and plants reach 100 to 150 cm.

From a 1993 information centre on the Amsterdam scene to a seedbank behind S.A.G.E. and MK-Ultra, T.H. Seeds has been breeding for more than three decades.
