Candy shop meets Colorado haze: Runtz Ghost Train pairs one of the sweetest modern cuts with the strain that made its breeder famous.

Rare Dankness took Runtz, the Zkittlez and Gelato cross that defined candy-flavoured cannabis, and married it to Ghost Train Haze #1, the sativa-leaning flagship most closely tied to its name. The idea was balance: sugar and fruit from the mother, length and lift from the father.

The breeder describes sugary trichomes and a fruity, smooth, sweet smoke. Growers pick out candied fruit and lemon up front with a funky, gassy haze behind it.

Growers report a mostly cerebral, euphoric effect with a long-lasting mood lift, softened by a calmer, relaxed edge from the Runtz side. It suits daytime and social settings more than late nights.

This one grows larger than many of the breeder's indica-leaning lines, so give it room. The breeder recommends strong lighting and good air circulation and gives 65 to 75 days of flower. Growers say it is a light feeder that still responds when pushed, and the finished buds carry the kind of bag appeal that sells a strain on sight.
