Two continents meet in this cross, Brazilian sativa on one side and West Himalayan Kush on the other, with a sweet guava finish to show for it.
Barney's Farm paired a true-breeding Brazilian sativa, drawn from the line behind its Utopia Haze, with a Kush from the western Himalaya. The aim was a sativa-style lift with Kush staying power, and the breeder records two main phenotypes: a long, sativa-leaning plant and a short, indica-leaning one.
The breeder describes finished buds that taste and smell of sweet guava, an unexpected tropical note for a Kush cross.
It opens with an exhilarating, energetic high, then settles into a lasting Kush body effect, which suits it to late afternoon and on into the evening. Growers describe it as strong and long-lasting, slow to build tolerance, and many mention a healthy appetite afterwards.
Breeder figures give a maximum of nine weeks in flower, a height of around 80 cm and an optimum of 500 g/m² indoors, with outdoor plants ready from mid to late September. Growers rate the harvest highly. Because the two phenotypes grow so differently, a mixed group of plants will show both the tall Brazilian side and the stocky Kush side of the family, which is half the interest for a collector who likes to see where a cross came from.
