Purple so deep it reads almost black, frosted until the buds look sugared: this is the grape line Rare Dankness keeps returning to.
The breeder crossed Grape Ape, the West Coast purple favourite, with Rare Dankness #1, its Triangle Kush based house stud. Rare Darkness then became a parent in its own right, sitting behind newer crosses such as Muscadine, which says a lot about how the breeder rates it.
Ripe grape leads the nose, closer to fresh fruit off the vine than to grape soda, with a soft berry sweetness on the exhale and a peppery edge behind it.
Users describe a lift in mood that settles into heavy, tingling relaxation and, later, real sleepiness, so this belongs to the evening. Medical users report reaching for it for stress, everyday aches and trouble sleeping.
The plant stays short and well structured, a natural fit for tents and low ceilings, and it comes in both feminised and regular packs. The breeder gives 60 to 75 days of flower, with the dark purple colour deepening through the last weeks as resin builds. Yields run medium to high for such a compact indica.
