Named for the largest planet in the solar system, Jupiter OG is the heavyweight of The Cali Connection's Planetary Kush line.
Swerve started from Jupiter OG, a clone-only cut tagged SVC, and crossed it to a reversed Tahoe OG S1, the house OG that made the seedbank's name. The aim was to lock a prized cut into feminised seed without losing its size or its punch, and the breeder still lists it in the current catalogue.
Crack the jar and the first hit is pungent fuel. The smoke follows with a sharp, lemon-heavy taste that the breeder simply calls overpowering.
Despite a listed lean towards sativa, the breeder's description is all body: fast to arrive, very potent and long-lasting, with a heavy physical weight that belongs to the evening. The breeder reports it as a choice among medical users for winding down towards sleep and for easing pain.
Expect a hardy, medium-height OG with a solid main cola and side branches that step down beneath it and fill in to match. Buds stack dense, red-haired and thickly frosted, so the breeder advises plenty of airflow around them. Flowering runs 65 to 70 days, with a large harvest indoors or out.
