Near the end of flower the leaves turn dark, sometimes close to purple, while the buds go white with resin: few hybrids photograph like this.
Rare Dankness took a Grape Ape mother and crossed her to Ghost Train Haze #1, the sativa that made the Colorado breeder's name. The aim was to fold colour, density and a heavier body into a famously cerebral line, and the breeder reports a plant that grows faster than the original Ghost Train.
Grape is the opening note, as Ape breeding promises, but the breeder describes a complex nose that moves from sweet fruit and florals to musk and cracked pepper as the Haze side comes through. Some growers also pick up a sour, old school lemon haze edge.
The breeder describes a strong effect that starts bright and energetic, then settles into deep relaxation, with body and mind feeling pleasantly separate. Users place it in the late afternoon or evening rather than first thing.
Expect real hybrid vigour, medium height and a medium to high harvest, indoors or out. The breeder gives 55 to 65 days of flower, and the sugary, purple-hinted finish makes this a showpiece among the Ghost Train crosses.
