Soft cheese rather than sharp cheddar: that is how Ultra Genetics describes Cream Cheese Frosting, and it is the clearest way to tell it apart from every other Cheese cross.

The mother is Brightside Cheese, a clone-only cut. The father is Sunday Walk, a male carrying Super Silver Haze, Ice Cream Cake and the breeder's own Terpatron 3000, chosen to drive the Cheese terpenes harder and add a creamy quality. It sits alongside Cheesy Fruits as a second take on the same Cheese mother.

In the jar it is pungent, skunky and unmistakably cheesy. The smoke runs sweeter, still skunky, with a flavour that coats the mouth and stays on the lips.

The breeder lists it as slightly indica dominant and says it offers a range of effects, without going further. Cheese lines tend to sit in a relaxed, sociable middle ground, and the Super Silver Haze in the father may lend some lift at the start.

Flowering takes about nine weeks, the harvest is rated high, and it suits indoor and outdoor growing. The breeder singles the plants out as good looking. As regular seed from a mixed Cheese, Haze and dessert background, a pack offers real variety for anyone looking for a keeper of their own.
