Three versions in, Conscious Genetics has folded its own house Kush back into the reversed Sour Apple Runtz that made its name for resin.
The V3 is a Conscious Kush V2 Bx1 crossed back to the Sour Apple Runtz reversal. Conscious Kush traces to Guard Dawg, a Blue Cookies and Orange Diesel V3 cross and Sunset Sherbet, with Huckleberry Soda added for the second version. Sour Apple Runtz carries the heavy trichome output, which is why the breeder points this line at hash and rosin makers.
Expect bright, limonene-led citrus from the Kush side, cut with a creamy, faintly funky sweetness from the Runtz, all held in deeply coloured flowers.
The breeder describes a mostly indica effect that opens energetic and motivating before it settles into a soothing calm through the body. It reads as an afternoon-into-evening smoke rather than a morning one.
This is a varied seed line: phenotypes run from short and compact through average to remarkably tall, so a proper hunt across the pack pays off. Buds come in dense and very resinous with deep colour, and the breeder puts the finish at 8.5 to 9 weeks with average to above-average yields. It suits indoor and outdoor gardens, with outdoor plants ready around October.

Conscious Genetics built its name proving that deep purple strains need not lack aroma, and the Conscious Kush family is where that work began.
