A Cheese cross that refuses to stay savoury: Ultra Genetics put the clone-only Brightside Cheese against its own fruit-loaded Terpatron 3000.
Terpatron 3000 is Mandarin Kush crossed with Mendo Grape Kush, a house line that the breeder rates for big yields and tropical mandarin and passion fruit notes. Used as the father here, it gives a classic Cheese cut a loud fruit finish, and the breeder pitches the result at Cheese devotees who also want something sweeter.
Ultra Genetics makes no attempt to soften it. This is a stinky, skunky plant with a deliberately offensive funk sitting on a Cheese base, and on the palate the Terpatron side takes over with sharp fruit that clings to the lips well after the last draw.
The breeder describes a strong, even effect that it calls a clean 50/50 between head and body. The spec sheet puts it at 60 per cent indica, so expect a balanced experience with a slight lean towards comfort.
Ultra Genetics calls it a stellar yielder, and the harvest is rated high. Flowering takes nine to ten weeks, nearer nine in the breeder's own notes, and it suits indoor and outdoor growing. As regular seed, a pack holds males as well as females, which appeals to collectors who like to make their own crosses.
