Challah Cake by DNA Genetics

Grind a bud of Challah Cake and the soft bakery smell gives way to a sharp blast of gas.

DNA Genetics built this one entirely from its own pantry. DNA Cake, a sweet, creamy dessert line prized for heavy resin, was crossed with Challah Bread, the house's calming Bakers Delight and Kosher Kush indica, and the breeder presents the result as one of the rarer drops in its bakery range.

On the inhale it is sweet and earthy, like a fresh loaf cake; the exhale turns creamy with a diesel edge. Myrcene leads the terpene profile, with kush and candy notes behind it.

The breeder describes a slow creep: a lift in mood and a touch of creativity first, then a heavy body melt that peaks around two hours in, with giggles and the munchies along the way. Users report reaching for it in the evening for stress, low mood, sleep and aches.

From Challah Bread it takes an easy, sturdy, bushy habit and good pest resistance, and from DNA Cake a thick coat of resin. Flowering runs about 9 weeks and the breeder quotes 16 to 20 oz/m², roughly 450 to 570 g/m², in soil or hydro. Those dense bushes hold moisture, so growers keep the air moving and prune to focus the plant on its top sites.
