Named after the braided Sabbath loaf, Challah Bread is where DNA's bakery series meets its most famous Kush family.

DNA Genetics crossed Bakers Delight with Kosher Kush, the award-winning indica that helped make the company's name. Bakers Delight brings a lush, flavourful side, while Kosher Kush brings weight and a settled calm, so both parents push the plant firmly towards indica. It has since become a parent in its own right, giving DNA its Challah Cake.

The breeder's notes describe berries and ripe fruit over an earthy base with a snap of pine. The smoke tastes sweet and earthy, and the pine and berry linger after the exhale.

Onset is quick and the mood is strongly calming, sliding towards sedation, so this is an evening strain. One early user found it happy and absorbing, good for films or games, and the breeder says people report it for stress, anxiousness and sleep.

Expect a bushy, indica-shaped plant that the breeder suggests topping and pruning to keep open. Flowering takes about 9 weeks and the breeder quotes 16 to 19 oz/m², roughly 450 to 540 g/m². It adapts to soil or hydro, indoors or outdoors, and DNA publishes THC of 15 to 21 per cent with CBD under 1 per cent.
