Blue Gem by Paradise Seeds

A hand-picked Blueberry mother, a Gelato #33 father, and leaves that blush red, pink and purple as the flowers swell.

Paradise chose that Blueberry for its versatility and toughness, then brought in Gelato #33 to deepen the flavour, presenting Blue Gem as the next chapter after its own White Berry. It sits in the breeder's Californian Collection.

Sweet berry runs from the grow room straight to the jar, softening into cream once the buds are dried. The breeder names beta-caryophyllene, limonene, guaiol, humulene and myrcene as the leading terpenes, and the scent stays fairly mild during flower, useful for discreet growers.

Expect a smooth, unhurried calm that ties body and mind together without taking over, so you stay capable. Medical users report it for aches, unease and a poor appetite, and the breeder rates it a strong appetite stimulant that suits the hour before sleep.

Growth is compact and bushy, under 80 cm, with big flowers on thick stems that dry into hard nuggets. The breeder suggests topping after four internodes, at least three weeks of veg for bigger plants, and says it suits scrog and sea of green. Allow 55 to 60 days of bloom for 500 to 550 g/m² indoors, or up to 1 kg a plant outdoors between 50° north and 50° south, finishing mid-October in the north. The Blueberry side brings pest and mould resilience, though it can throw pollen sacs under stress.
