Purple Urkle sweetness, Trainwreck spice and a ruderalis clock: two West Coast legends folded into one autoflower.
Purple Wreck started at Reserva Privada, the DNA Genetics sister label, which crossed the California Urkle with a Trainwreck male to put more vigour into a plant better known for its colour than its drive. DNA Genetics then bred in ruderalis so that outdoor growers could take more than one harvest from a single season.
The breeder describes woody, spicy notes laid over red fruit, with a clear grape tone from the Urkle side. Anyone who has grown Trainwreck will recognise the peppery, earthy edge running underneath.
The effect is billed as balanced: a euphoric, stimulating lift in the head and a loosening physical calm below it. It suits a late afternoon that drifts into the evening.
The full cycle runs about 75 days from seed, and the breeder pitches it at outdoor growers chasing several crops a summer. Indoor yields are rated medium, and outdoor plants give roughly 28 to 40 g each. Growers report the Urkle parentage showing in the colours, with lavender to deep purple tones most likely when nights turn cool.
