Auto Canelo by DNA Genetics

Pine needles and damp earth on the nose, then a faint ghost of strawberry and banana that only shows itself when you break a bud open.

Canelo is one of the newer additions to the DNA Genetics auto line, and it comes from two indica-leaning parents of the house. Strawberry Banana, their Banana Kush x Bubble Gum favourite, was paired with OG Kush Auto, which carries the classic OG crossed into ruderalis. The result is an indica-dominant auto with real resin and serious bag appeal.

The breeder notes that the fruit gives way to lemon zest, diesel and wood once lit, with a sweet, fruity and smooth smoke.

Expect a gradual onset that keeps building: euphoric, happy and talkative at first, then heavy and sedating as the dose climbs. DNA positions it for the late evening, and medical users report it for unwinding from stress and bringing back an appetite.

In the garden the breeder calls it adaptable and easy going, a good fit for newer growers indoors or out. Plants grow fairly bushy, so topping or low stress training keeps the canopy even. DNA lists 8 to 9 weeks of flowering and yields of 14 to 17 oz per square metre, roughly 400 to 480 g/m², with resin-heavy buds at the finish and a breeder THC figure of 18 to 24%.
