Afghan Grease by T.H.Seeds x Symbiotic Genetics

Green bananas and pineapple up front, gas on the back end, and an old Afghan father to turn it all into hash.

Symbiotic Genetics brought Grease Bucket #11, its Garlic Cookies by Banana Punch selection, and T.H. Seeds crossed it with a reversed pure Afghan from its own stock. Grease Bucket already has a name as a hash plant: towering, vigorous and frostier than most of its peers. The Afghan side is there for discipline, adding firmer structure, big resin glands and resistance to mould and pests. It is a limited release, sold while supplies last.

The mother's profile leads: unripe banana and exotic pineapple, a sugary funk, then fuel on the finish, with the Afghan adding a spicy, hashy note.

The breeder describes an effect that is uplifting and heavy at the same time, with the Afghan's long, relaxing body. In practice that reads as a bright start that settles into a weighty calm, and the flavour lingers well after.

Grease Bucket is an extremely vigorous plant that can tower, with tight spacing between nodes, while the Afghan tightens the leaf and bud structure. Her buds tend to run looser than an Afghan's but carry extreme resin coverage. The breeder rates yield medium to high on flower and about the same on hash, calls it easy to grow, and gives 8 to 10 weeks of flower for rooms or outdoor plots.

A joint release from Amsterdam's T.H. Seeds, breeding since 1993, and Symbiotic Genetics, the Northern California team behind Mimosa and Purple Punch 2.0, named Best Breeder at the 2018 GreenState Cannabis Awards.
